Looking to sell my 2004 Lexus LX470. I have too many vehicles and enjoy driving my LS430 more. I bought this vehicle as a restoration project and have had many things done to get it back to its former glory. Vehicle has been a Texas car its entire life and has absolutely NO RUST.
The vehicle currently has 215,383 miles. From my understanding the true mileage is about 40,000 more miles as the odometer was replaced by a previous owner. Carfax has a discrepancy that shows the 40,000 mile change. True mileage around 255,000.
Since purchasing the vehicle I have done the following:
August 2025: Oil change, valve cover gaskets, spark plug tube seals, spark plugs, rack and pinion, tie rods replaced and four wheel alignment performed.
August 2025: Cabin and engine air filter replaced.
August 2025: Aftermarket Night vision windshield by XYG. Previous owner had a non night vision one from Fuyao. Oem one is crazy expensive.
August 2025: Front seats, arm rests and center console leather all replaced with seat covers from Ridies.
September 2025: Front bumper replaced due to the bottom being cracked and housing for night vision lens’s not able to be secured properly. Headlight bottom trim replaced due to being broken. Rear bumper also replaced due to a some of the plastic being broken off. All of this was painted of course.
November 2025: Replaced the navigation screen and center ac vents replaced with ones from a salvage vehicle. Old vents had broken fins and the screen was extremely yellow and faded. Used steering wheel also replaced old peeling steering wheel leather. Replaced all 4 window switches due to clips being broken and chipped.
December 2025: Headlights and fog lights replaced. 06-07 style front grille installed.
January 2026: Timing belt, water pump, idler bearing, tensioner bearing, hydraulic tensioner, coolant replaced. As well as the power steering vacuum hose was replaced and the inlet air box vacuum nipple was broken off causing the car to run lean. Instead of replacing the air box a hole was drilled and a new nipple was able to be put in its place. Mass airflow sensor replaced
January 2026: Had the driver front and passenger rear door speaker fabric replaced.
January 2026: Power steering pump was rebuilt and flushed with new fluid.
January 2026: Vehicle fully detailed inside and out. Carpet steamed clean and ceramic spray on paint applied.
Vehicle currently runs great, AHC works fine with the only real issue being the night vision. It displays but only the edges. I have replaced the bulbs and windshield but beyond that it’s a gimmick feature I do not care about. Vehicle has OEM LX570 wheels with 285/50r20 Michelin tires at 6/32nds tread. I do have a set of 06-07 LX470 wheels (no tires or tire sensors) I may let go with the vehicle as well.
Known issues:
Night vision does not work perfectly
Side steps have bends on both sides
Light on dash from 06-07 tail lights. A resistor can fix this
Center console needs a new latch to close completely
