I need some advice on my 1983 Toyota truck.
When the weather gets hot, it has a problem with stalling.
It will start right back up, but it will keep dying unless I can
run it down the road a bit.
Does anyone know what the problem could be ?
Thanks

yea new lines are cheap.try that make your pump of course is ok.check your lines coming out of the tank. but if i was you i would replace your main fuel line all the way from the tank to the carb.hell it could not hurt .what 20 bucke to do it.

Vapor lock occurs from lack of pressure stabilization in the tank and typically can be caused from overfilling an old tank. Does it happen when it is full versus 1/4 full. Does it take less time to lock when it is full.

When I have vapor locked a vehicle, it would not just start right back up. It would take a bit OR I would have to release the back pressure by undoing the fuel line at the filter. When it stalls, check to see if your float window is full of gas i.e. where it should be. If not, definitely a fuel send issue. If it is full, then it sounds like another issue
