Horse pasture SEPT 15th V-1.5 whos game?

just so i can get the dates right...anyone interested in calling into work Wed sept 15th i'm heading up to the horse pasture and then possibly gorges if time allows.

Will be heading out of greenville around 9am.

This is the first day that the horsepasture will be open.

I'll be there in the 60 with a few pals, have a buddy that will be on his ATV that i do not intend on even trying to keep up with.

If it gets boring there i'm going to try to leave for gorges that afternoon since it's just right up the highway.

Should be an easy run in street tires from what i've been told unless we get alot of rain.

I can't make it but make sure u go to jumping off rock inside the horse pasture. Amazing view of jocassee and the boats look like ants!

U can if u want to fish the lake. U can literally drive onto lakeshore unless rules have changed. I have seen people camping on bank before.

i will find out about driving to the shore (i've heard you can)

but camping anywhere other than the campgrounds is illegal and you'll get fined heavily if the ranger catches you doing so. Have a friend that worked at the kayak plant in easily, him and his buddies that work there used to do alot of kayak trips, they set out of the park one day to kayak all day then find a camp spot somewhere along the shore.

Before hitting the water one of them asked the ranger about camping on the shore (was when the lake level was down real low last year) I don't remember the fine amount but was enough for me to not want to chance it.


I think the same goes for Keowee but on hartwell your safe.

I'd LOVE to go and do some fishing - but I have I think three meetings that day.
