My '98 4Runner (180K) horn sticks at low temperatures. So, when you try to 'toot' the horn in a friendly way, the horn sticks for several seconds. If I bang on the horn pad, it will eventually quit. If not, you have to quickly stop, open the hood, and pull the horn wires. The colder it is (below 30F) the more it sticks. I have never removed the steering wheel or serviced any part of that system.
Has anyone else had this happen? I suspect the horn pad, but there is a relay that could be at fault, too, right?
Thanks,
Steve
