It's sad when folks focus so intently on others that they can't see anything else.
I don't know who removed the response from public view, but it would be best if it were shown, because it's true.
When i bought my 80 ACC said to always change rotors with pads. I did a front brake service using part store parts because I got the "my buddy is the manager" discount. I replaced pads and rotors and I am pretty sure the guy who bought my truck reported needing to change both shortly after. I dont think the whole set could have had 20k miles on them.
"know what you need before talking to the guy behind the counter" isn't unreasonable advice. But maybe I am the only one who has tried to communicate with the average advance autoparts employee.
