Hello all-

I found a few posts on this subject but they did not exactly address how to fix the problem I am having.

Just bought a beautiful 2005 100 series yesterday. When driving it home I noticed the drivers side leading edge of hood lifts a little at around 75mph on highway. I stopped several times along the way home (9 hour drive) to screw in/out the round hood stops on either side. I made it better, but not perfect, almost seems like the hood needs a tiny bit more downward pressure to solve the problem.

Is there a recommended procedure to fix this? The car has no previous paint/bodywork so I don't think anything is bent.

Thanks!

Thanks JDM, that should solve it.

Mine still wiggles a little at high speed to this day. I pushed to pump stops up a bit but haven't tried the latch lower yet. May have to do that this weekend.

I've adjusted mine a few times and still doesn't solve the problem. I had mine down so low the grill started rubbing the bumper, but still no luck. It still wobbles at speed.

I tweaked the bump stops some more and lowered the latch today. I will find out next time its on the highway I guess!

Good info. I'll be tweaking mine. Thanks.
