Hood latch, catch, lock?

I'm trying to identify the name of the hood "catch" that is connected to the hood, the small loop that the latching mechanism hooks to. Mine is loose and not allowing the hood to close completely. It looks like it was welded once before, anyone seen these break and need welded? Any help is appreciated.

Was looking at that earlier but none of those parts seem to be it when looking through Google images.

I looked at the parts images, went through the collision manual, etc. I'm guessing it is a part of number 1 in the diagram above, i.e., the hood itself.

Appreciate it @LBridges ..that's kinda the conclusion I came to as well, it's just part of the hood. Oh well I'll figure something out.
