ok, my pops has a crazy fast sandrail with a Honda 3.5L Vtec motor, he just replaced the turbo since the one that was on it when i bought the rail was toast, i'm not sure of the model as i'm no where near the rail presently. The issue he's having now is the turbo seems to be operating fine under normal acceleration but if you apply the throttle hard and fast it seems to almost die, like there is some sort of fuel/air problem, he's hooked it up to a diagnostic, no problems, he did find a pinhole in a diaphram somewhere fixed that but still this issue,

does anyone know of a forum where i can research this more in depth?

Does anyone have any clues as to what the hell he's talking about?

Does anyone know of and can recommend someone/shop that is very knowledgeable on these motors and turbos in Kern County California or close to thereabouts?

thanks
WB

He needs to hook up a wide band to meter his AF ratio. If the Engine is running too lean that the DET sensor picks up the slightest hint of detonation, the computer will automatically pull timing and the power will just quit. What is he using for an engine management system?

Too high of exhaust temps from running lean, not letting the engine cool down after use properly, over boosting, and compressor surge are the typical reasons why turbos fail before their time.
