Simply based upon the ID of the stock intake, and of any commercial snorkels I've seen, I'll say no. Again, just using the premise that the manufacturers have it all thought out for us.

Isn't the intake "spout" on the air-filter box even tighter than that? I would say the opposite of the other guys.;).. It would be fine.. i Don't think it will be restrictive unless it's actually tighter then the hole on the box...

Just my opinion.. no scientific evedence.. Though it would be wider than the exhaust-pipe... and that one even handle the expanded hot gasses..

I'm going to try to build the stainless (Mud Rhino) in 3 inch tubing, and get a 3 inch intake from a small tractor. May or may not work.

Iif we're talkin about a 62, then nope.
I'm gonna guess it at roughly 3" diam.

It probably is too small, just seeing what other people thought cuz its free material. the intake tube does look smaller than the rest of the intake system but I dont think it would be as small as the tubing I have. The ID of the throttle body is a hair less than 3", so 4' of smaller tubing is probably gona be too small. Im thinking of picking up some 3" stainless or aluminum tubing now. Thanks for the input.

Show us the final product.
