Here it is ... a bit of seamless steel tube, a Tracel intake hose, some rad hose from a Detroit diesel, and the top is from an old air compressor ..... cost is not really worth mentioning .... and it works great.
 
Eureka offroad [Frankston dandy rd Dany] have 3" mandrel bent snorkels for 4_ series, left or right, I ran both on the big block in my 40.

Make life easy, and dont need to re invent the wheel.

got any idea on prices for them?
 
$180 inc donaldson/safari snorkel head and mounting harware, powdercoated black.
 
sheite that's good. i gotta save 180 bucks. does it come with everything to atatch to the air cleaner box. i was going to try making one as a kind of intro to fab work, but that price is good
