Thanks to all you guys for all the great photos and ideas. I will definately try to build one myself. That seems like a great project and it feels good to build something rather then to order everything from the catalog.

are those square head lights on the cruiser?

do you think that a front "clip"/bezel from a bandierante could fit onto an everyday fj40.
 
My HJ75 and a parts truck in my backyard.Not quite a 60 but it may help with ideas. The rubber 3inch 90 deg bend on the 75 snorkel to airfilter is exactly the same bend and part no on the intake bend on the intake to the T3 turbo, from Hitachi.cheers

I figure some mandrel bent gauge ss or some mig welded aluminum tube would be a heck of a lot better than the plastic safari snorkle. Put a ss donaldson prefilter on top and your good.
