home made fender flares

I went really cheap here, just trying to get passed inspection. I bought some rubber carpet trim fom Homie Depot for 2.97 a piece, and a tube of black caulk. I had some hex head screws and washers laying around. I needed 2 1/4" of flare in front so I stuck the out about 2 3/4" to make sure I pass the inspection. The trim comes in 4'x4" lengths, witch was really too short so I'm not sure what they're gonna say at the inspection station.

If I get too close to a tree or rock on the trail they should just bend out of the way. maybe bending armor around the wheel well and filling in the space between the body and the pipe would have been a better solution.

It passed!! The red onion lives!

My wife just got back form the station in middle way. She said it was only like 10 minutes. She said she's not sure they even looked at the flares.

they did not look at mine that hard they checked the lights and looked at my front breaks. the regular inspection guy went over it with a fine tooth comb he was brutal.

Im over here in breckenridge off of old country club road. MY 'Yota is sitting in Moore field atm, I've got cruiser withdraw. I've been tooling on it since I got it in May. Now I dont know what to do with myself. I bought two spindles for the rear bumper Im slowly building. I also have a couple other random parts I need to get on there.
