Any home brewers out there in Yankee Toys land? Just brewed my first batch- ans american amber ale from extract

I used to make some a ways back as well. Haven't in years, but have thought about getting back into it again. It is a lot of fun to do!

Yep! Been a few years but we were talking about doing up a batch this winter.
When will yours be ready? I'd be more than happy to test it for you!

Yankee Toys Brew Party???

that could probaly happen

coming for FG11 a special edition, Yankee Toys "Muddy Tire Ale"- time for jason peters to start working on a label for that one

It's ready

I have finally got to test my work- it's real good

#1 Americam Amber in 22 oz. bottles- nice and smooth, not to hoppy

#2 IPA on tap- hoppy and crisp

#3 Canadian Ale on tap- light and a little citrussy

#4 Ed Wort's Pale Ale- in the fermenter. I have had this and it is great , another 3 weeks before this is ready

Brewing is a lot of fun. Temperatures need to be watched closley as that dictates how the grains release their sugars. It really is a easy as baking cookies.

Lane When you coming up?

I homebrewed back in the '80s, probably did about 30 four gallon batches. Some were awsome, others tasted like skunk cabbage.:whoops:
For the lagers that needed lower temperatures closely controlled I used an old freezer with a temp sensor wired to the power cord.
Such anticipation with each brew! Lots of fun.
