Your local bank can usually give you a list of ones they use if no one on hear knows of one.

I used Paul Henry about 1.5 years ago for a personal matter near Hickory -- he was very professional and helpful as far as appraisers go -- even better that he was one of the few appraisers who replied to me via email..... hth. I don't know if he does the Charlotte area, but thought I'd pass along.. any questions just reply to this or pm me.
