Alright guys, I Missed it the past few years, but i cant wait to run Holy Cross

Holy Cross is one of the Top Trails in Colorado, Its a challenging trail, and should be amazing up there with the trees changing!

I plan on Camping Friday night up near the trail head (i look for some Elders to guide me to the good spots) .. I should have my newly acquired Ford Diesel up and running by then!

I think i may Camp Saturday night too!, But if you guys want you can just meet us at the trail head on Saturday and run the trail!

We have a good amount of interest from Rising Sun guys who are going to be joining us!

Nice, glad to hear you got a tow rig.

Assuming I have my hydro-assist done by then, I'm down for Holy Cross and maybe Trough Trail too. :steer:

I would like to make Holy Cross but that is prime archery hunting so unless I have by freezer filled by then I don't think I will be on the Holy Cross trip in September.

I am planning on Holy Cross and am planning to leave Friday morning. I'll snag a good campsite and put my CLC sign out so the Friday night latecomers can easily find the campsite. I've heard that our club members prefer camping in the small meadow on the right hand side of the main road not too far before the trailhead. If so, and I'll bring that topic up at tonight's meeting, I'll try to snag that campsite.

Not sure if I'll bring my Cruiser, as I may "carpool" with Brent, trailering his Forerunner behind my Ford. If we are not in camp on Friday afternoon, we will be at the lake fishing. In any case, I will have my cheesy CLC sign out in front of the campsite. Let me know if anyone wants to caravan from COS.

I guess I'll be bringing my 40 after all (war piglet?). Couldn't arrange the carpooling with Brent, who will be driving up Friday night with his Forerunner.

I'll bring a generator and a small cheesy floodlight in case any late night repairs need to be made after the trail run. Feel free to bring 110V power tools and bigger floodlights if you wish. I'm not suggesting that any of our Toyotas would need to be repaired, of course, but I have seen a broken Birfield or two on this trail.

Darryl, are you planning on camping earlier in the week? Keep me posted; I am planning on leaving Friday morning and will snag a good campsite if you are not already there.

Goslow, we are planning on going up Thursday the 18th for some fall camping. If the '40 makes the trip, Andy will bring it up Friday evening, although not sure about that part. I'm into a relaxing time and maybe coaxing some trout to come for dinner while there. I will keep you posted. I'm in western Colorado this weekend, soaking up some nice sunshine!

I just got my Hydro Assist done on the Toy. Seems to work great! Can't wait to test it out on the rocks this weekend. :D
