Spoke to my dealer on Saturday and he said my LX is on hold at factory for another 20-25 days due to QA hold. What exactly does this mean or what are they doing? The other LX's in his order bank are on their way. He said they randomly pull trucks to closely inspect. Anyone hear of this?

If there was a production hold that long, it would have been announced by Toyota publicly. 20-25 day production stoppage at Yoshiwara would be almost 5 weeks of zero production. That would make the automotive news.

Could it have something to do with the engine problems they are having?

Found out it had to do with a shock absorber. Possibly there may have been an issue with quality on some shocks they installed on new builds so they hold some up to inspect and possibly reinstall.
