Hey guys.

Here is a shot of my very trusty (knock on wood) and clean KZJ78 that has served me very well over the last 5 years. But, with 220K on the odometer and a need for coils and shocks I've been thinking of putting that money towards another Cruiser instead.
A big factor in deciding what my next LC will be is the possibility that we may be moving back to Canada in a few years and I would like to take a vehicle back with me. I love the KZJ78 but the known ECU issues and to a lesser degree head problems has me steering clear of those despite the abundance of really nice KZJ's.
Right now I have my mind somewhat set on an HZJ77 but am open to a 60 series diesel as well. Basically, a very reliable, long lasting cruiser that has the most serviceability when back in west coast Canada.
Also, I'd like to know Crusher's thoughts on a KZJ78 with a manual transmission. Would it not be possible to convert to non electronic fuel delivery system with the MT? Reason being there is a beautiful MT KZJ78 I've been looking at.

Any thoughts?

KZJ78 with Manual tranny has served me well in brutal conditions of Mongolia. I don't know if my body could have taken all that driving that i did with kzj with a say hzj77 . I may be biased but i like my kzj and it looks like you have a very clean one.
By the way why is your roofrack so high up there?

Well, that old roof rack is on it's fifth car now. Finding shorter feet for it is pretty much out of the question at this point I think. It's only about 10 cm off the top of the roof so not too bad and I like the extra space as it's easier for the snow to fall down between the slats. Then it's just a push with the brush between the rack and roof.
