I said I'd have a look at a 1988 HJ75 with a 12H-T conversion with a mate tomorrow. I'm pretty experienced with regular non turbo cruisers (70 and 40 series anyway), and NA diesels in general. But I have very limited experience with turbo motors. What are the points to look for with a 12H-T, and this conversion in particular? Does it suffer the same oil pressure issues as the 2H (takes ages to come up when cold, low when hot or worn pressure relief giving massive pressures)? Is it easy to stuff up the wiring with this conversion?
