HJ60 What is this????

Hi all, can anyone tell me what this is? Could this thing the cause to my many HJ60 24v to 12v problems?
thx to any and all who respond in my moment of need.

Cant really tell where your taking the picture of...............but if that punch out is in the Left front fender well - near the firewall. That is the OEM voltage converter 24-12v for your radio, etc. Never seen one work at this age. 23yrs???

I think you're right about it being the voltage converter. And i think you're right again about it not working. thx for the reply. IU'll do some research here to resolve this issue. Best site bar none.

Yeah.. It's something like that..I have one to. pretty sure it doesnt work anymore.. maybe one could remove it and put the new ones in there?
