I have a 1987 HJ60 with a 4 Litre engine with roughly 180,000km's (approx. 90,000 miles). I've recently noticed that sometimes when I'm in fourth gear the engine seems to stumble when I'm giving it a bit of throttle (either light part throttle or heavy throttle). I'm actually not sure if it's the engine or transmission that's the problem. Because when it starts to stumble I can downshift into third or even upshift to fifth (if going fast enough) and the Cruiser will drive just fine. That's why I think it maybe the transmission.
