You American fellows may not know much about this beast, but hopefully some of the Aussie members can shed some light for me.
A nice old chap came into work today wanting to trade in his beloved 60. Being in the market for a 60, I went right over it.
Its a 12/1983 HJ60. It is Metallic silver in colour and has "Silver Edition" badges on it - even has Silver edition wrote on the little flap for the cassette deck. The fellow that has owned it (since new) says that it had something to do with Toyota's 25th anniversary in Aust.
Are they rare?
He wants around $8000.00 for it with 12 months rego.
It has not a sign of rust (Strange) even the paint isnt faded. He has Fish oiled everything, and even pulled all the trims off and painted 'red lead' on any bare metal surface. For a 24 year old car, its better most 80 series even early 100 series that come through. Drives very well, no noises, full service history from new.
does it sound good value?
