i have never seen a 12v hj, they may exist, but my bet would be that it's 24v. does it really matter? parts are available. 12 or 24v both are good.

but i'm just guessing.

Third world market can be either 12V or 24V. Same with European market. Oz, South Africa or Middle East tend to be 12V.

What voltage are the Canadian HJ's 1987 specifically?

I looked at the truck in question (from Guatemala), and it is 12V with a single battery.

Tico cruisers have all been 12v, as far as I can tell -- I've looked at dozens, not one 24v so far. Most car companies down here are connected so I'd be surprised if Hon or Guate got 24v when CR didn't.
