i have done a few searches about hino motors. at our shop, we have been thinking about getting small hino trucks for their motors. we already make adapter plates for mercedes 5cyl to 5speed so if things need to be made to fit, its not to big a problem.
i know of 15b-t swaps but those are the toyota names. the motor codes for hinos are different.
the ideas is that those toyotas motors 13bt, 14bt, 15bt... are usually expensive and dont alway come in half cut or running/ nonrunning forms. hinos are not much talked about but hino is another toyota company. it would be intresting to see what tranny/motor similarities are there...
please make a hino board, it is a company not listed. many older toyota diesels are made by hino and issues about compatibility and availability could be discussed.
before i start getting to deep, a place to gather data would be nice
