My name's Paul, I live in Australia. I drive a 2000 100 Series Landcruiser 4.5litre pertrol/LPG conversion Automatic. I'm hoping to get some advice from anyone who is aware of what is causing a problem with my brakes. When you put your foot on the brake pedal to halt the car, then release the brake pedal... often the brakes continue to 'grab' not allowing the car to roll on for about a second or two. Any advice on how to fix it would be appreciated.

Hi Paul, Welcome to the Site!

Hello paul and welcome to the board. Where in AU are you? My guess would be sticky calipers. but could be something with ABS. Use the search tool at the top of the board and do advanced search to limit search to 100 series. A bunch of reading may shed some light or help you discribe symptoms better.

Yup, most likely one or more sticky calipers.

Hi Farinvail,

I noticed you have a 2yr old son, 1yr old daughter, and a vehicle that sounds as though it carries the scars of a young family!!! I live near Sydney (about 1 hr south west). I hope you're right about sticky calipers... your suggestion that it could something to do with the ABS worries me!?! If kind of thinking about just living with it... as long as its safe (I've got 6 kids, and my wife does most of the weekly driving in it). Thanks for recommending the search tool i'll give that a try.

Paul
