I am in ,Finally I am in. Wow did I Suffer to get here. I know that this is a Toyota forum only. Let me introduce myself. My name is Stephan and live in Botswana. I am an electron microscopist. I always dreamed of having a 4X4. It finally became a reality in 2002 here in Botswana when I bought a Colt on a auction, rebuild it, destroyed it again rebuild and sold it. Imported an Isuzu Mu Wizzard/Rodeo. Still restoring it. Hope to get the last bits done this weekend. Three months ago I just could not resist an old Nissan Patrol 1984 model. Will be running this weekend and have a lot of work left on it. The bug have finally bitten my brother and he went the better route (seeing my trouble, learning from my mistakes?). He is now a proud owner of a 70 series 1HZ straight six diesel Cruiser. Dam nice! I might be able to join him one day (after selling the Isuzu?. Now he is looking for a electronic copy of the manual to rebuild his 1HZ diesel. Being remote with no internet access it will take quite a bit of time to get a Haynes manual. He already has the gasket set and is anxious to start but would like to go over a manual prior to his trip to get the parts. Help hints suggestions cautions would be helpful. We are planning a trip into the central Kalahari in March to test both the Nissan and his Cruizer, if he can get it running by the. Another friend, Robbie Hatuman, also with a cruiser will be joining us since his one is reliable and more company will be welcome. There is also a possibility that a friend Chris Long, that sprang a leak on his radiator and blew the to gasket on his Cruiser in December, might have it running by then and join to test it. Then we will be an all be serious Cruiser party with on Nissan in!

Thanks

Welcome to the forum
It will be quicker to get a mail order paper manual as there is no 1HZ manuals on the net unless someone can prove me wrong.
The manuals on the net are for pre 1990 models .

The only 1HZ related info is on this French site. There are exploded diagrams for parts but the part numbers are obsolete.
