Owning a non heritage or base 2021 LC200 and given the Land Cruiser started in 1951, I am actually warming up to the idea of getting the 70th Anniversary badge.

Oh man, I thought that was really cool, but my '97 was a 40th anniversary edition. So wouldn't that make my '21 a 64th anniversary? Or did Toyota mess up on the 40th?

I think it's a great idea. I went with a LC heritage badge for now, but I reserve the right to change my mind until I put it on. 70 years is badass. It's a cool story.

Hey Scott,

While clarified by others already, have a read here please:

There is a "however" with claiming 1951 as the start of the Land Cruiser. The Toyota BJ model started off as the "Jeep BJ" and was later named Land Cruiser, after Jeep started complaining. Per the write up this happened around '53 or '54.

All in all using the 70th anniversary badge on a 2021 Land Cruiser appears legit and it is something Toyota is doing from the factory for the 2021 LC300's.

Have not bought this 70th Anniversary badge yet, warming up to the idea though!

Thanks! Tempting to add coolness, but I skipped the HE to keep this vehicle as low-key as possible. I'd like to do some chrome deletes, but the headlights are full of plastic chrome I can't delete, so just keeping it mostly stock and basic.

Hey, @ToothDr, I'm a dentist in Denver too!
