I loved my 60 series trucks, so when it came time to upgrade it was no surprise that the 105 took my fancy. The plan was to build a strong and durable 105, doing everything myself, and after looking for nearly 12 months I found a good candidate for the build. Being a fitter and turner with plenty of mates in various automotive and vehicle related trades I was sure that I could get everything done for a very reasonable price given enough time (and cartons of beer). I've worked on cars and bikes since I was a teenager and I was always able to find a solution to every problem...eventually.

7/2000 1FZJ105R GXL with A442F, One owner + FSH, Factory cruise, LSD, ABS, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, 2" OME lift with TOYO 285/75/16 on ROH alloys, dual battery + REDARC solenoid, 110L LPG tank, and nice dark tint all round.
I've done a few bits and pieces already so I have some catching up to do for this build thread.
An LS3 + 6L80 conversion was high on the list but I can't seem to find too many 100's that have done this conversion. Is it just my poor searching skills or this particular engine swap not so common?
