Hey guys! Trying to help out a friend: 2007 Sequoia. Timing belt, water pump and thermostat just changed but it still heats up fast (overheated before above was changed). Both on and off-road. First it was only climbing in 4LO but yesterday I70 traffic we had to pull over and let her sit for a while. Changing the radiator and radiator cap this weekend since they're both in the garage. No visible leaks. Any ideas what to check? This vehicle is new to him within the last 3 weeks. Thanks!

Aux fan working? You checked that the new tstat is working, Oem or aftermarket? Put in oem tstat when you do the radiator if not. What's the coolant look like?

Coolant is clean. OEM tstat was installed. She was heating up before and after the timing belt/water pump/tstat replacement.

Doing the radiator tomorrow morning and will verify the aux fan. May replace the fan clutch as well.

We drained the radiator to change and only 1.5 gallons came out. After replacing and bleeding the system, she only took 2 gallons of 50/50 .. Is that about right on a radiator swap?
