Brief Intro: I'm having what seems like a major issue with my 80 at the moment and Im pretty far away from what I'd call home- Colorado Springs, CO. You can track what little progress I've made thus far here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/334934-another-head-gasket.html
The problem is multifaceted I think and centralized on the coolant system, primarily the HG. I'd do it myself if I could manage, but I just don't have the resources at the moment.
The main problem is time. I'm home on R&R right now from deployment visiting my wife in Searcy, so I am totally out of my league in trying to find a decent shop around here, or even way around here since I am not familiar with the area and I have a hard time trusting dealerships to be straight forward about anything. I have less than two weeks to find a shop that will fix what I need done, but also do it during the holidays and the way I expect it to be done.
So, is there anyone out there who doesn't mind giving some advice on what shops around here are worth going to? I'm willing to drive it (still driveable) as far as Little Rock to get it done, so Im not going to be picky about distance.
Thanks for taking time to help with this in advance.
