Hey guys, I've got a bunch of work to do on the 61 and I'm not comfortable tackling it all myself. I'm getting a quote on it all this week but if there's any parts of it someone could help me with that would save some $ but cost more beer! What I can see is most of the seals, power steering pump seals, rear main seal, oil sump seal, likely a clutch, so need to lower the transmission etc. I'd love to do all of it but need to strike a balance of what I have the time, skills and tools for. Anyway, I'll post up the list once the estimate is done and maybe some of you have a few hours for wrenching... or advise on what I can tackle and what to hire out.

I'm in, let me know when you want to tackle this stuff...

Hey Paul, a new seal and high pressure hose took care of the power steering leak, which was where everything was coming from, slinging all over the front of engine and belts. No leaks on the driveway now! I'm doing new front brakes: rotors, calipers and braided hoses:) I'll get to that this weekend and then need to get help fabbing a roof rack for trip to Tofino end of July. What steel did you use and where did you get it? If I get the steel and cut it can we bend it and weld it at your place? What hardware did you use to make the roof brackets? Then some sliders would be on the menu!

I think he is gone fishing.

Yeah he is gone fishing in Northern Manitoba.

i know it can be a bit of a drive depending on what part of town your in but metalheadz in nisku has awesome pricing and service for all your steel fabricating needs. they also have adds on kijiji

I'm back from some of the best fishing on the planet!!

I can certainly help with the roof rack, I'll see if I can get my buddy to cut some gutter mounts today. The stainless clamps I use are pretty spendy...$20 a piece, not sure if you want to source something else out. We should get hopping on this

I have 8 gutter mounts awaiting a new owner.....

:beer:I quickly grabbed some steel tube, Paul and I knocked a design together with his patented clamp and I my Sahara roof Monday. He had it welded and complete by Thursday night! Friday we installed it and now I'm going to oil it until my primer and paint arrives from Masterseries. Here's some pics, huge thanks to Paul for his welding/fab skills and a friends tube bender!

Apparently, he is also a sales rep for ARB and lent us a RTT for upcoming Whipsaw/Tofino trip.
