opened with much difficulty, now "locked" shut.
I could use suggestions how to free it?
thanks
BTW, this is my firstCruiser, and this model is perfect for these old bones- Automatic everything and good suspension is easier on the knees, and being stock, factory size tires, makes for easier entry. 60 years on bikes takes it's tole.
again thanks.
I love this site for all the information I have thus far gleaned glove box lick

I had mine fail with the little pin wedging the handle. It broke and was able to get a screw driver to move the spring, Ordered a new one from cruiser outfitters.

While this has absolutely nothing to do with your glovebox issue, you need to be here .... U.S. 70's Registration. ..... at your earliest convenience.
Thanks

Does this one have a key to it? A lot of us don't have these luxury extras

When mine broke (closed of course) I was able to get in with a small screwdriver and release it. Ordered a new one from my local Toyota dealer using TOYO DIY part number. Took about 2 days to get iirc.

nope- no key
Not sure if it matters but my truck wasn't built for export (Japanese)

Some of the higher spec had them. Ill have a look at the lock on my 75 series later

About $30 on aussie ebay but as Cold Taco says other models will work as well

Thanks for all suggestions- as suggested small screwdriver pryed(sp?) it open
Rosco that's exactly it, and amazingly enough got it from U S eBay from a seller in Canada. Did my research to assure match, and it should fit as new.
