Hey All -

I just did some maintenance on my ‘13 GX to address a cooling system leak. Specifically, I replaced the radiator and removed the intake & EGR components to inspect my coolant valley plate. During that time, I I had the negative terminal off the battery. All in all, the battery was disconnected for about a month.

Today, I reconnected everything and started the vehicle. Car starts with no issues and runs well with an appropriate idle.

However I have:
  1. A blinking 4LO light
  2. A check engine light (code is P0348)
  3. TRAC OFF message on the display
After I saw this, I tried disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery and I let it sit for about 25 minutes. I tried reconnecting that negative terminal and started the vehicle but the dash lights are still on.

I checked my gas cap and 4LO switch, and everything there seems to be correct.

Any ideas on what to do here? I didn’t see any of these codes before starting work. See photos attached. Thanks in advance!

Wonder if sensor wiring connections need to be reseated?

@Acrad Thank you for the information! I just removed the intake section from the throttle body to the air box, and found a camshaft position sensor with a suspect wire. Compared to the other two wires on the connector, the blue wire was “longest.” I gave it a gentle tug and the wire came out of the connector body. I played around with the female connector for a few minutes and removed the little white plastic piece inside, which looked like a “lock” to keep the wires in place. I stuck the blue wire back in and then reinstalled that white plastic piece back into place. I then cleared the P0348 code and it seems like I may be out of the woods. Although it looks like I’ve got a good electrical connection (for now), I’m skeptical that I reinstalled the wire correctly. Anyone know how to depin and repin this connector properly?

It makes sense that this cam shaft sensor was suspect, as I did remove other connectors on the same harness when I removed the EGR pipe on top of the intake.

See photos attached.

A lot of those connectors can be disassembled and fixed. It’s tiny hands work and time consuming.
