Just finished installing SB 383 (externally balanced), had components from two motors laying around, one 350 and 383, might have swapped the balancers, only have the one on the motor (got rid of the other so cant compare)
how do I tell if its the right one? Getting different descriptions when I did a e search
While im at it, what about the flexplate?
It seems to run OK but had a hard time timing it because the pointer on the cam cover sticks beyond the balancer so it obscures the notch on the damper at tdc. Of corse I have all the accesseries bolted to the motor so now I can barely see anything.
