I'm going to Eastham for my birthday/1st year anniversary on the 25th and am trying to get the cruiser road ready. It would be nice to take it out to the Cape, and my wife actually suggested my finishing the Cruiser for the occasion.
I have a list of stuff that still needs to get done before I have it inspected. If anyone could help lend a hand next weekend, I would really appreciate it.
Depending on the turnout, I'm happy to purchase a keg of Bud Light and could possibly fire up the smoker and cook up a shoulder and some ribs. I have a few extra rooms for crash space as well.
I've done all of the work by myself at this point. I'm running out of steam and need a few extra hands closing up my list:
- Move the tub back 3/4", and swap out a few bushings. Did it in the dark with poor instructions. Booze may or may not have been a contributing factor to the error. It could just be a poor alignment job on my part as well. This will just require loosening of the body mounts.
- Correctly wire wipers (I have a 72 FJ40 with 78 wiring). They're pretty much done, but there's no high/low speeds, only low.
- Fan needs to be wired correctly (I don't know what wires go where...if you bring your rig, I can figure it out.)
- Install windshield. (I may take it to have a new piece cut and installed.)
Feel free to bring along your projects. I have a welder, sand blaster, 60 gal compressor, air tools, jack stands and other stuff designed to entice you much like a windowless mid-seventies Ford panel van would.
If you can help, let me know early so I will know how much beer/pork to buy.
Thanks
Rob
