HELP. Stuck in park. Grinding gears gx470

Problem
Currently stuck in park, can go into gears when I press the button on side. But when I return to park I hear a grind.
Link Thru the gears And then can't come out again except for button
All light (P R N D. Have a red light nextonthen by the shifter )
center diff is not on . Im in 4H hi. I move into 4 lo and N no issue.

This happened after I removed the front driveshaft of the 4 bolts holding it. I put it back w/o removing anything else . I spun the wheel while accessing the bolts with it in P and the parking brake on .
Both front wheel spin non-issue
The front driveshaft spins no issue except for a small barely noticeable le vibration when I switch the rotation on the driveshaft

Is the transfer case shifter all the way in gear?

If you have the tires off the ground and put it in gear the tires will still want to keep spinning when you go to put it in park and the parking pawl will grind. Try putting the brakes on before going to park. If you have either drive shaft disconnected from the transfer case it will also grind when going into park for the same reason only applying brakes wont help. The gears are spinning in the transmission and transfer case from internal friction which would normally not happen with tires on the ground and not turning.
There is nothing wrong with your truck.

Also, just turn the engine off while shifted into neutral to avoid grinding and possible damage to the parking pawl.
