help plz 4wd problem 2006 79 series ute

I got bogged about a month ago so jumped out and locked my hubs as I was driving out of the bog I haD to steer out at one point and I got a big clunk noise thankfully I got out of the bog and freed my hubs it was a straight track for a few km wen I came to the end o had to turn onto the road but my steering was only leting me do probably half of my normal turn now I have alot of greese/oil coming from the swivle hub on the passenger side my steering periodically will free up and I get a full lock but only every so often also wen I put it into 4wd my front wheels dont turn anymore the drive shaft into the diff turns but the wheels dont when I jacked the car up if I spin the driver side the shaft turns if I spin the passanger nothing happens sorry about the long msg I try to describe the problem as vest as I could any help would be great thanks cos I need to fix my steering and also I cant take it off road anymore cos I only have 1 wheel on the back working I think its supposed to be lsd but whatever wheel is spinning just spins and the other doesnt move another problem I guess

Most likely a broken cv joint. The broken pieces fall down and get caught in the swivel hub which limits steering. Very dangerous
 
Yes. With a Busted cv all your drive goes to the broken axle and you loose 4wd.
Toyota's lsd are known for being weak. Even after being fully rebuilt they only last a short time before it's completely useless again. Rear locker is the perfect solution
 
Cv for sure I had one brake into 4 pieces stopped the steering from turning
 
awesome thanks heaps i kinda thought that was what was wrong but i didnt want to pull it apart to then have it off road until i got parts prefair to have the parts and do a strait swap as i live remote and its kinda hard to get parts out to me and i need the car every day asd its still drivn but thnks heaps and i so if i got the front fixed and a locker for the rear would that take me most places i was thinkn of doing both front and rear but i dont do extream offroadn so u recon the rear is good enought to get out of most situations ? also could u pls tell me the diff size for that model to order the rear locker up as i see a few diff sizes thanks
 
I have ARB airlockers front and rear. I use the rear only about 90% of the time. Just the rear locker will make an extraordinary difference in traction in your cruiser. ARB part # is RD152 I believe. Your rear diff is a 9.5" 32 spline. I would also look into the Eaton E locker. These will be going into my next vehicle
