Sorry but I dont think thats an FJ25...
Easy way to check is by the VIN number on the passenger frame horn or the firewall data tag..

hood isn't a split hood.
vents on side of cowl are definitely not FJ25
bib has no holes for turn signals
fenders have turn signal stalks on em
wipers are oddly placed
no vent under windshield
and the 4 cylinder really throws a monkey wrench into it all

But the door openings are curiously round....

What the heck . . . ???

Any pics from the side and/or rear, firefingers?? Are the rear wheel wells round?

4 banger you say?? Let's see under the hood of that thing.

I've never seen square side vents before on 25s or 40s. And, that swept-back windshield is something else.

Where'd you find it and what's the story behind it?? Inquiring minds need to know. :D

Bwahhhahaahaaa. Amateurs. :)

Firefingers is probably not in the US and that's not a Land Cruiser, well, it is kinda.

Looks like a Delta Mini Cruiser, do a search on the whole board there's a few threads from a while back. The four was original, but they came with a variety, but I believe later ones had a Toyota 8RC. Very neat little truck.

Girls are gone......need to get back to the garage........ :D

Firefingers, wouldn't mind getting details on the drivetrain, and year. This was an early one like yours, I think maybe it was in NZ? :D

I vote Jim needs to change his name to Delta_Nerd now. :flipoff2:

And although I did not identify it correctly, I did say it wasn't a 25 :D I think I should be upgraded from an amateur status. LOL

Edit: man I didnt notice the 5 lug bolt pattern either.

OK - Novice. :D

I think the things are cool, Suzuki Brute / Samurai size.

thanks a lot guys , I wish it was a toyota criser, they are much tuffer trucks . ohhhhhh well , I guess I'll have to live with it

well I guess I got it, I made a small research on the net and it shows that TOYOTA was manfacturing it;s products in almost 52 countries. my wild guess is that it has been made in asia , I still don't get it , all my truck parts are a toyota ones but I guess bcz it has been built in a diff country it has been giving a diff name depend with what company toyota has copprated with to build their products in other country than japan.

The Nerd does it again!! :flipoff2:

It says it was made in the Philipines under license from Toyota.

1587cc, 4-cylinder, 66hp engine, 4-speed tranny, 3-piece bezel and supposedly has disk brakes.

At the very least, you've got yourself an FJ-12 1/2. ;)

Wow...finally. :D

Some of you may remember me from a few years back. I am a Nissan Patrol guy and my website is www.rmp-o.com.

I asked about the Mini-Cruiser many times on this forum and also on pirate4x4.com. Nobody knew what I was talking about and told me I must be talking about Blizzards.

While in S.America in 2004 I saw at least 10 of these mini-cruisers. I was searching for Patrols but came across these trucks and thought they were odd. Much smaller than an FJ and the badge clearly says "mini-cruiser". Thing is I am a Patrol guy so I didn't pay much more attention to them and also didn't take any pics fo these trucks.

So it seems what I saw was indeed a real mini-cruiser and not some Blizzard. Glad to have that settled....

Now for my questions....

#1: Is there any interest or market for these trucks in the USA? Of course I am talking to you cruiser heads with this question. :)

#2: How rare is the mini-cruiser?

#3: What price range seems reasonable for these trucks in the USA? From poor condition to showroom.

I ask these questions because I don't know cruisers or their owners. And I am considering importing some of these mini-cruisers to the USA.

Well, as with FJ25's you have to remember...

1. They were never sold in the USA so it does make them "rare".
2. No one would wheel them because they are so rare.
3. If you break something you're screwed.
4. Cruiser owners are inherently cheap by nature.
5. Rare doesn't make them valuable, it just makes them hard to get parts for.

Ian,

I see Phil wandered into your place, I'd like to say that Patrol is in safe hands but, as someone said to me.............. there must be something in the water over there. ;p

I give up with trying to predict market prices for anything. I would think that the easiest Mini-Cruiser to sell would be one with a decent body and all the badges, regardless of the condition of the drivetrain. That way someone could swap in all minitruck stuff. But then it would have to be less than $2k to sell.........can't see it as being worth the effort to import. If you did, I might be interested, save me from buying a Mighty Mite or early Suzuki on a whim. :D

Anything on the higher end would be a risk............just look at the 25's in the classifieds that haven't sold. And that's even after we've pretty much worked out most of the unobtainium parts and unknowns here on the board. Takes a certain type to buy a rig that you can't shop three on-line stores and have a part delivered to you next day. :frown:

I am not one to make a bunch of cash on any truck, don't think I have ever done anything but loose cash on trucks.

But the idea of bringing a few in, driving them myself for awhile and then selling for a $1-2k over what I have in it sounds fun. What suprised me the most is that nobody really knew what they were when I came back from SA. I certainly had never heard of a mini-cruiser before but I was certain that is what I saw. Kind of hard to mistake that emblem and front end. They were cool little trucks that I saw, still in use and still looking good all nicer than most pictured here. I also think they were LHD unlike these RHD mini-cruisers. I didn't see any RHD vehciles in SA. I also have a gut feeling parts are somewhat avialable down south. You might be suprised. ;)

I hear what you are saying though....not everybody is into the rare, obscure and oh so hard to get parts for type of trucks. ;p
