It has been a longtime since i have been on line.It has been a long winter in Yellowknife with a few problems.Bloc heater gave out,a battery blanket along with a battery but all in all it has been ok.
Nicer weather finally started to come around.So naturally i jumped at the chance to crawl underneath and give the old 60 some much needed attention.I was under checking everything out,greasing everything that needed it.
So i noticed a few things.
1 I have cracks that have developped in the top mounting bracket on the front shocks on both side.I'm looking for replacement part # or even suggestions for a 2" to 4" lift.Also wondering if any one has encountered this same problem.
2 The other thing that i have noticed is that the gear fluid in my front diff is more like a grease than an oil.I saw this the first time that i changed the fluid but haven't since.There is no water or any other contanimation other than a thick grease mixed with the gear oil.
3Having trouble finding a belts to fit.I was at Nappa out source with the numbers off my belts but they couldn't find anything.One is a toyota belt the other a mitsubushi.
1984 BJ60 /173000/ lock rite locker in the rear/turbo'd/31" x 10.5 mud terrains.
Any help would be apprecaited.
