Hello Mudmates,

I pulled my front shocks to install new bushings and lost all the internal fluid out of the shocks and some of the lines. This was anticipated Does anyone have experience with bleeding the system/getting all the air out? The fluid that came out was ugly. It must not cycle with the main system as i did a complete AHC fluid flush a year ago and it still looks decent. I may have to bleed the rears as well as it probably has black fluid in them also.

Anyone ever bleed these shocks before?

TIA

Unfortunately i don't have a FSM so the procedure is not known. If someone has a FSM, i would appreciate this info.

update

Got it done,

The lower bushings needed to be pressed in with a major press. my portable ball joint press was not up to the job. Had a local repair shop take care of it for a $ 50 bill. The fluid system was not as big of a problem as i thought it could be. I filled the shocks with oil and had to flush the front two globes three time before the system would raise the truck off the bumpstops. The the LX drives great. No more clunking in the front end with the new bushings.

I am a happy camper......
