With all the new products for the FJ cruiser's lift kit, I'm still a bit uncertain to what kit is the best..Can anyone tell me what you guys think is the best lift kit out there, and possibly the less amount of money spent. I've read the threads about it, the more I learn about this the more undicisive I get..lol Help me please?

Don't have my cruiser yet but will be putting on OME setup. There may be better ones, maybe not, but I feel you will get more bang for the buck. Just my opinion.

Another reliable option, tho' more expensive, is the Downey set up. I am waffling between the two, primarily because I haven't been able to get a full laundry list of what the OME includes for the $695. Regardless, if you simply want clearance for bigger tires and slightly better ground clearance, the spacer type lifts, e.g. Daystar, Revtek, offer the best value.

If you are looking for better travel and articulation, want additional load capability, like for a steel bumper and winch, your best bet is to go with a complete rear spring/shcok and front coil over set up like the OME and Downey.

I't funny because I have my tires and wheels decided, waiting on me to put them on, the only thing holding me back is to what lift kit to install...I heard of the OME, Revtek, Donahoe, mainly those three, Are there others I don't know about? trying to do all my reseach..

Here's a good rundown of what's out there.

I choose the OME lift

I have my OME lift on order and hope to have it in the next 2 weeks. I decided on the OME for the following reasons:

1) I want a suspension lift for the articulation, travel and load capacity (just like Blues Dawg said above);
2) I want a brand that has a good reliability record;
3) Even though the Prado is not and FJC, it's the closest thing out there and OME has been making lifts successfully for the Prado; and
4) Advice of others that I trust say that going with OME is probably the best option out there right now.

That's just my thought pattern, hope it helps.

I got the OME 3" med-Heavy and love it.
OME has been doing landcruiser lifts for ever.
Good luck with what ever you choose.
Does the OME lift come complete with all hardware including extended rear brake line?
