Help in San Diego?

Hey guys - My 12yr old son and I started doing our own LX car work recently. So far we have done:

• oil changes
• LED lo/hi-beams
• Fix leaky passenger AC gasket
• Grease U-joints and drive shaft

We are wanting to tackle some additional basic maintenance jobs, AHC fluid flush, diff oil changes, etc. Watched a bunch of YouTube videos but for our first go, would rather do this with some help of someone way more experienced.

I know it's a long shot but..... anyone in the San Diego area that would be interested or willing to let us ride along on some maintenance together?

I would also recommend changing the heater Tees. Straight forward swap that is even easier with long reach pliers and a flexible hose clamp wrench. The other items you mention are not too bad. Make sure to order replacement crush washers for the differential and transfer case plugs. Good luck!

If you go to the clubhouse on this forum you will see a large number of CA based clubs as well, you may have some success with finding someone to wrench with there. Good luck!
