HELP! (vacuum line)..anyone around in Colorado Sprgs, CO???

i really f'd up! im down in Colorado Springs, doing a "JimC." carb swap, and decided to tackle my leaky manifold gasket etc... i found a crap load of loose bolts, piece of old manifold, and buncha burn off from where the gaskets were leakn'. well, i thought i had marked all of the vacuum hoses correctly, labeling them 1 by 1. but i guess as we removed the air filter housing, carb, random nuts/bolts, hoses, ehaust header, manifold, and old gaskets, (yes! this was a bitich) we pulled some of the other random vacuum lines away from their home. i believe we found all of the places (keep my fingers crossed) those random hoses went. but there are (4) on the left side of the carb, that got mixed up in the s***. I would love it if someone could tell me where these go.

Also, if you are in the Springs...maybe you could drop by for 15 minutes tomorrow. i would like to look under yur hood and verify i got the visible ones right. I live up in Westminster, and my DD is stuck down there at Jerry Nichols house, on the south side of town off Cherokee Mountain Blvd.. I WILL PAY YOU GENEROUSLY!!!! thanks in advance! -sean

check your email. i sent the two vacuum hose routing pages from the emissions handbook to you.

my bill is in the mail, please make remittance made to california :]

thanks for the speedy response!

you know...i really feel like a dumbass, but i have been looking at those pages all night, and i cant seem to figure it out. i cant seem to find the 4 im looking for. they go from the 4 ports in my pic, to 4 ports, all lined up, in order from top to bottom. the place they go kinda looks like a flute, turned on its side, right towards the front/left part of the carb....welded, pieces, all togther.

the pic youre looking at, is a pic of the actual carb. these 4 ports, are commin directly out of the left side of the carb. thanks, sean

well, it's confusing to me too. can you zoom out on that picture a bit to see orientation?

there are four ports coming out of the air cover, and there are three that come out of the front of the carb on the emissions manual pics, as well as mine. i just got done redoing the vac hose on my truck, which is why i have this handy.

plus, none of them off the carb were bent like those two that are.

i couldnt post the pic...i had to resize it. i sent you pm! i wish i wouldve taken a pic of the ports where they go. you would know EXACTLY where im talking about. thanks bro...-seam

as i say in my email - after taking a look at my truck, i think you're looking at the back side of the carb and unfortunately, not something i've yet seen or can help you piece back together. one of the other guys around here should be able to give some insight on what to do.

sorry i couldn't be of more help tonight. it'll get done tomorrow though.

OK, they run to the 4 metal tubes stacked vertically.

If you number the connections in your pic from left to right (1,2,3,4) they go #1 to the top metal tube, #2 below that, #3 below that, & #4 at the bottom tube

I'm digging for a pic...

Gulp Rulz!

damn...thanks! -sean
