My 60 wont start as I said in the title but there is a catch it will start if I jump-start it. When I turn the key on to the run position, it will show 11-12 volts on the stock voltmeter. I turn to start it all goes dead, even the door beeper but instead of getting things like the door beeper back it all stays dead and the voltmeter continues to read zero even after turning back to run.

Might it be the starter contacts?
Alternator?
Bad ground?
Or the battery itself?

I am lacking in diagnostic tools like a voltmeter so maybe someone can point in the right direction.

thanks

Easy stuff first.

Check connections on battery. Make sure they are clean and tight.

Next check connections on starter.

Then test battery.

Last test the starter.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like either like your battery cables aren't making a good connection or more likely like the battery is dead.
