I used to be a member on here several years ago and can't remember my login credentials (Scout79 or something along those lines). Anyway, I am about to purchase an 84 FJ60 and hope to turn it into my trail rig (so I don't damage my DD/current trail rig any more and don't have to worry about sleeping in the garage).

Plans are to lift it, put 33-35" tires, lock the rear, lsd the front, sliders, skids, tube bumpers, etc so that I can tackle all the trails at URE, Harlan, Coal Creek, etc with my Nissan buddies. Can't wait to learn all about my new-to-me FJ60 and hope to meet you guys on the trails and/or local meet and greets. Thanks in advance for your help and apologizes for my soon-to-be numerous "stupid noobie" posts

BTW - I live in Clayton and work in Raleigh, so I am sure that I pass several of you at various times during the day

Well, I got bad news. I told the guy that I wanted it but couldn't get the money until today (I have been in the Outer Banks for work). He said that it was fine and it would be there until I returned. I got the money out today and called him to say I was coming to pick it up and he said that he sold it this morning!! Guy come by last night and offered him $100 more than our agreed upon price.

Guess it is back to craigslist and the various boards to find another one. Argh
