Hey guys and gals,

Just wanted to drop a quick hello. The wife and I are having a great time in Sedona. I actually found a nice little trail to do some offroading in my FJ Cruiser. It was nothing difficult... which is probably a good thing considering I don't have any recovery gear with me. In fact, I didn't have to air down my tires or lock my rear end. I will post some of the pics that I took when I get back into town. I need to shrink them down so that I can upload them and I don't have that software on this computer. Take care everyone... and incase I don't talk to you.... Happy Turkey Day!!!

Despite what the locals might imply - do the Broken Arrow trail. It's easy and there's great scenary. You can stick your tongue out at the cheesy Heep tours you'll see on that trial. There's one lose downhill at the very end that keeps your attention but otherwise it's Moab-like slickrock fun.

Hi Michael,
Great place for a get-away weekend! How is the B&B?

We're headed out tomorrow for a 2,000 mile round-trip to Monroe, Louisiana to visit family. We're taking Connie's hotrod so no 4-wheeling on this trip. You want I should bring ya back some raw oysters or maybe a shrimp po boy? :D

try "soldier pass" too (i think that's what the name was). off the road os the same name. easy as well, but some cool sink holes to see and a great series of little pools that have frogs and tad poles in the summer. i went to college in Flagstaff and love that area.

have fun!

Yeah... Broken Arrow was the trail that we hit. It really was a lot of fun. The Jeep guys were sort of giving me a hard time..... telling me I needed to be careful and that I could possibly get stuck ahead or even damage my truck. Everytime they went up a big incline or down a steep slope they would stop to watch me... and then just shake their head when I cruised over it with no problem. The views were awe inspiring. I didn't get to check out Soldier Pass, but my wife and I did hike up Devil's Bridge... that was a lot of fun. We even stopped for a few minutes to watch a couple of guys repel down the side of one of the mountains.

The B&B was very nice..... it was actually in Oak Creek... a place called Adobe Hacienda. The innkeepers were very nice, they cooked us some amazing breakfast, and the rooms were nice and comfy. It was a little far from all the trails we did, but I really don't have any complaints.

Mike... thanks for the offer on the Louisiana grub.... but I think we can hold out a bit longer. Enjoy that drive through scenic Texas!!!

Do the Greasy Spoon trail, it's a fun one too! Drop a line on the Copper State Cruiser club and you'll probably get other Cruiser freaks come out to meet ya!

Found this old thread - We're going to Sedona - taking the 4Runner (stock, open) and wanting to do some easy to moderate trails. So far listed here are:
Broken Arrow
Soldier Pass
Greasy Spoon trail

Anybody have any other suggestions? Is there a good map online?

Thanks in advance...
