Height of snorkle above roofs highest point ?

Lookin to land more chicks .. and of course I thought of getting a snorkle , right off .

And no , I wasn't thinking I'd need a snorkle in that sense !! Pervs ..


With the roofrack coming off as soon as I can afford it to , I was wondering how much further above the roofline it sticks . No sense eventually getting one if it means parkign outside again ..

If it does sit up higher than the roof , can it be cut down if need be ?

Mine is slightly above the leading edge of the roof. I do not know how it compares to the highest portion of the roof. I will get a look at it tomorrow for you.

The head clamps on and I imagine that you could cut a bit off of the top of the body and drop it down a ways.

The snorkels I've seen (Safari) don't extend above the roof. They're right up there, but not higher than the roof's highest point. I can't see how you could lower it except at the intake tip where there may be an opportunity to lop off a couple inches.

Its not higher than the rear roof line. If need be you could trim a wee bit off of the intake so it would slide on a bit more.

TY - I sometimes use my antenna to guage whether or not I have clearance. This is assuming I only have the factory rack up there.

My antenna is about a 1/2 inch taller than the highest point on the factory rack...uh...that would be about 1.25 cm or so for you in the big C.

Yup , I had to keep my antenna down a few inches when I was parking in the condo . It kept flexing and snapping back into place in a few spots ! Used to surprise the hell out of me when I first moved in .

Yeah its right at roof line. I am helping Baiely or cruisin GA to install his today. Im pumped. We also get to put his OME lift on. But i guess i won't take any pictures since you guys told me to run over my computer with my car. Oh well maybe you guys shouldn't stick your foot in your mouth. Otherwise I might have put some pictures up. HAHA!

p.s. If you don't understand this read the thread in the chat room on pics on comps. It will become clearer. And you can blame them for not having any pics. Haha!

Yes we are terribly disappointed because whe have not seen dozens of pictures of an OME and snorkle install. Oh well, I guess when I have to do it again, I'll have to guess at the process with without the aid of pictures.
