so, pretty awesome image.
can anyone help me out as i try to put 2 + 2 together in terms of what is under the hood?
i see there is formed heater hose and there is straight heater hose. and i see the straight hose is 5/8” or 1/2” (and presumably the formed hose goes over this in all cases).
is there different material for different functions/fluids?
thanks
jon

i think this is correct. but parts counter guy says 87245-60310 is 87209B.
i’m thinking he means 87246C.
also, the diagram makes it seem like the 87245’s are different lengths. why is the part number the same for A, C, D and E?

@hotwheels2017

"(and presumably the formed hose goes over this in all cases)" --- No

straight you cut as you need foremed you bay OEM

ok i think i got it. they ship the same size and you cut to fit (hence just buying bulk at local auto supply) and formed hose goes inside straight (i guess...).

Holy sheeeit are they raping you. Those prices are ABOVE Toyota MSRP.

They have an escalator at play. Those prices are at least 15-20% over Toyota MSRP.

Find a new place to get your parts.

It seems one of the top fails on the 80 series is dang heater control valve and rear heat tubing. (Both of mine failed just after purchase).

Countless threads on how to repair, bypass, fix, re-route etc....

I eliminated both, on the cheap. Seems to be working good so far in MN - time will tell.

Good Luck!

That's why I constantly gripe about checking what dealerships are selling stuff for.

You know how it works. But it's still the DEALERSHIP LIST price!

thanks beno. i had a sneaky feeling the 15-20% off list was no deal. half suspected this but still surprising...

actually just bought the two formed hoses. and can’t say i haven’t picked up a small part here and there from these guys. live and learn...

The place to buy your parts is @beno if you're in the US IMHO, and he's good to deal with from another country too - nothing more frustrating than starting a cruiser 'project' and realising part way through that you got the wrong stuff...

hey man.
can i ask you or someone - the HOSE i need is green stripe 5/8” which is, well, is it the ID of the hose?
thanks
