Hi all, I have lots and lots of rubber hoses, wiring and metal pipes that I would like to protect from excess heat under hood. Can you all share what product/s can safely be used to shield heat sensitive things from heat? I have seen several products designed to keep heat IN things like manifolds and exhaust tubing but I have not heard of something that is easy to use and effective at protecting things to keep heat OUT. Thanks as always for the advice.

Look at race shops, they sell a variety of insulating materials for just about any part you would like to protect. Usually it is a ceramic type cloth, just like the header wrap, but one side gets foil, and the other a silicone rubber layer. It comes in tube form for hoses, large mats you can to cut into any shape..... have fun!
