I would love to hear some theories on this one.
Problem: a squeak coming from the front end.
When it occurs: only when its hot (90deg F+), and only over small bumps (expansion joints, small imperfections in the road, etc)
When it doesn't occur: over larger bumps (speedbumps), or on flat surfaces.

It is almost like something is rattling, except it is not a rattle it's a squeak. Turning has no impact. I will record the squeak later, my first attempt was unhelpful due to wind noise. This time I'll record while parked and bouncing the front end. It is most noticable when going very slow, like pulling into a driveway.

After searching, I'm guessing it's a bushing or a shock mount. It seems to be getting louder, but only slightly. What I'd like to do is squirt some Boeshield T-9 in there. Any other theories or a recommended order of things to check?

Thanks in advance.

Here's the video, will try a better one later

After seeing this (posted by Trunk Monkey on one of the many Ball Joint threads), I am concerned.
I understand how to look for leaking grease, torn boots etc. After reading through the threads on ball joints, I'm still not quite sure how to check for play, although I'm sure it's covered, and I missed it. Jack up front end, jackstands under frame, then...?
Help a novice out, what's the fastest way to determine whether there's a safety issue here?
