I'm not that experienced with a wrench. I'm changing my headlight bulbs (low beams w/ HIR 9012). It looks like the passenger side assembly is easy to reach (which is good because my passenger side is the one that blew out).

I want to change the driver's side too, but, because of the battery, it looks hard to access. I really don't want to have to move, or even worse, disconnect, the battery--one of my few DIYs was replacing the battery and it took my car a week to learn how to idle again. Are there any access tricks that make it easier to reach the bulb?

Thanks!!

Thanks! I was able to do it by loosening the battery and tilting it back (without disconnecting it). The good thing about being a crappy mechanic is that doing even the littlest of jobs gives me that satisfaction of a job well done.

Good tip. These trucks are actually pretty easy to work on compared to some other manufacturers.
